DeepSeek Browser Chat
Independent-service notice: Chat-Deep.ai operates this browser tool. It uses the DeepSeek API but is not owned, operated, endorsed by or affiliated with DeepSeek, and it is not DeepSeek’s official chat or app. For DeepSeek’s consumer service, use the official DeepSeek Chat.
Current tool scope: The composer accepts typed text and optional browser voice transcription. It offers V4 Flash and V4 Pro; it does not accept image or file uploads and does not browse the live web or open every pasted link. The model selector above the composer is the source of truth for this tool’s current options.
Regional chat availability: This independent chat does not accept prompts from connections detected in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland. The page, guides, and model information remain available. Detection is based on network allocation and can be affected by VPN or mobile routing. DeepSeek’s official service is separate and follows its own terms and regional availability.
Before you send a prompt: Do not paste passwords, API keys, payment details, confidential client data, private source code, medical records or other sensitive information. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or outdated; verify anything important.
How to send a prompt in this tool
- Type a clear request in the message box. Add the goal, relevant context, constraints and the format you want.
- Choose V4 Flash or V4 Pro. Thinking starts off in this interface; turn it on for a harder multi-step task if useful, then send the message.
- Review the response, check important facts and continue with a narrower follow-up prompt when necessary.
For example: “Explain this JavaScript error for a beginner, identify the likely cause, then give me a corrected example with comments.” For broader official and independent access instructions, see how to use DeepSeek Chat.
Try these prompt types in this tool
Use the starter prompts for writing, coding, explanations, planning and summarization. Include your goal, context, constraints and preferred format, then verify current facts and generated code.
Models available in this browser tool
| Option in this tool | API model sent by the service | Practical starting point |
|---|---|---|
| V4 Flash | deepseek-v4-flash | The current default for everyday writing, explanation, summarization and routine coding prompts. |
| V4 Pro | deepseek-v4-pro | Use for harder analysis, debugging or multi-step text tasks when a longer response time is acceptable. |
This page does not enable Vision Exp or image upload. See the DeepSeek model guide for capabilities outside this browser tool.
How Chat-Deep.ai uses the DeepSeek API
Where chat sending is available, the browser first completes a no-store availability check. The server compares the connection IP in memory with a bundled local list of network allocations for the restricted region; this check does not send the IP to an external geolocation service or return the IP or country to the browser.
When you submit a message, the server repeats that check before rate-limit counters and before any provider request.
If the network location is restricted, the prompt is not sent to DeepSeek. If allowed, the browser sends the prompt and active conversation context to Chat-Deep.ai’s WordPress application, which makes one streaming request to DeepSeek’s official https://api.deepseek.com/chat/completions endpoint and returns the response to this page.
The current live setting is DeepSeek; there is no automatic provider fallback and no automatic retry. Your API key is never requested from the browser and the site’s DeepSeek API key remains server-side.
This flow does not sign you in to an official DeepSeek account and does not give Chat-Deep.ai access to your official password, billing or saved chats.
The plugin does not create an account-based server chat history or write message text and generated answers to a WordPress conversation table or file. It does create short-lived, per-visitor rate-limit counters derived from the connection IP for minute, hour and day windows. Normal hosting, security or diagnostic records and DeepSeek-side processing are separate, so this is not a zero-retention promise.
The deployed configuration can change as DeepSeek updates its API or this service adjusts capacity.
Check the model label inside the live tool for this page’s active option, and use the official DeepSeek models and pricing table and DeepSeek change log for the current API catalogue. If you are building an integration rather than using this browser tool, start with our DeepSeek API guide.
Current browser chat interface
The screenshot below shows the current empty-state Chat-Deep.ai browser interface, including model controls, Privacy Mode, the message composer, and the regional availability notice. It was captured on August 25, 2026 without submitting a prompt or making a paid DeepSeek API request. It is not a screenshot of DeepSeek’s official consumer chat.

Interface controls and practical limits
- Text and voice input on this page: The composer accepts typed text and, where supported by the browser, voice transcription that becomes text. It does not expose image or file upload. Do not assume that a pasted link has been opened or that current web information has been checked. API-side image capabilities are separate from this page.
- Thinking option: Thinking is off when the control says OFF. Turning it on sends DeepSeek’s thinking switch as enabled for the selected Flash or Pro model and displays returned reasoning in a separate panel. This interface sends no tool definitions, so it does not use tool-call replay. Thinking may take longer and does not guarantee a correct answer.
- History and Privacy Mode: With Privacy Mode off, completed conversations can be saved in this browser. Turning Privacy Mode on prevents new local saves and removes the current saved conversation, but it does not delete every older chat. New chat starts a blank conversation; it does not erase saved history. Where chat sending is available, these local-history controls do not stop a submitted prompt from being processed through Chat-Deep.ai and the DeepSeek API; the regional availability gate is a separate control.
- Fair use: Access is free for normal use when available, but limits can apply because of abuse protection, demand, API capacity and operating cost. “Free” does not mean unlimited or permanently guaranteed.
Privacy and data flow
This page is a downstream application built with the DeepSeek API.
DeepSeek’s consumer privacy policy states that downstream applications using its open platform are not covered by that consumer policy.
Section 3.3 of the DeepSeek Open Platform Terms requires a public downstream application to disclose its personal-information processing rules and have consent or another legal basis where required.
Read the Chat-Deep.ai Privacy Policy for this site’s practices and the official DeepSeek Privacy Policy for DeepSeek’s consumer services.
In practical terms, the application first uses the connection IP in memory to decide whether this API chat is offered for the detected network location.
The regional check itself does not create a country cookie, store a country code, or send the IP to an external geolocation provider.
For an allowed submission, Chat-Deep.ai processes the prompt and up to the configured recent-message limit, then transmits that request to the DeepSeek API.
For a restricted location, it stops before the DeepSeek request and before chat quota is counted.
The application code does not intentionally persist the prompt or answer as server-side chat history.
Separate rate-limit counters derived from the connection IP use fixed minute, hour and day windows, while hosting and security systems may process technical metadata under this site’s policy.
DeepSeek may process or cache only the API input that is actually sent under its applicable documentation, account settings, terms and legal obligations.
When local history is enabled, the browser can keep up to 50 conversations in localStorage, including prompts, answers, returned reasoning, titles and timestamps.
There is no time-based expiry in the chat plugin: records remain until they are individually deleted, displaced after the limit, or the browser’s Chat-Deep.ai site data is cleared. Privacy Mode prevents new local history; it is not an anonymous, offline or zero-retention mode. Review that policy before submitting personal or confidential information.
This tool has no access to an official DeepSeek account, password, billing information or saved chats.
If the chat is not working
- Copy any unsent text so it is not lost.
- If the chat shows a network-location availability notice, sending is intentionally disabled for that detected connection. Reloading or shortening the prompt will not change that decision. The page and its guides still work; you may check DeepSeek’s separate official service, whose availability and terms are controlled by DeepSeek.
- For other errors, reload the page once and try a shorter text-only prompt.
- Check whether browser privacy or script settings are blocking this page’s required scripts. Change settings only for Chat-Deep.ai if you choose, or try a current browser.
- If you reached a usage or capacity limit, wait and try again later rather than repeatedly resending the same prompt.
- Check Chat-Deep.ai’s independent status observations. For the official service, check DeepSeek Status.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the official DeepSeek chat?
No. Chat-Deep.ai is an independent service that uses the DeepSeek API. The official consumer chat is at chat.deepseek.com.
Do I need a DeepSeek login to use this page?
No official DeepSeek login is required for this independent browser chat. Do not enter an official DeepSeek password here.
Is this DeepSeek chat free?
It is available without payment for normal use when capacity is available. Fair-use, safety and technical limits apply, and access is not promised to be unlimited or permanent.
Does this page use the DeepSeek API?
Yes. Chat-Deep.ai sends submitted prompts and the active conversation context through its service to the DeepSeek API and displays the returned response.
Can the chat browse the live web or open every link?
Do not assume it can. Unless the interface explicitly provides and confirms a retrieval feature, treat the answer as model-generated text and independently verify current facts.
Can I upload images or files in this browser chat?
No. This page currently accepts text prompts and optional browser voice transcription; it does not expose image or file upload. DeepSeek’s separate hosted API may offer image input through a supported Vision model, but that API capability is not automatically available in this browser interface.
Should I rely on an answer for medical, legal or financial decisions?
No. Use it for general information and drafting, then verify with qualified professionals and current authoritative sources before making a high-stakes decision.
For step-by-step workflows beyond these starter prompts, browse the practical DeepSeek use-case guides. For this browser tool’s availability, local history, and privacy behavior, see the browser-chat access and privacy FAQ.

What Is DeepSeek AI?
DeepSeek is a Chinese artificial intelligence company founded in 2023. It develops large language models and AI systems for reasoning, coding, writing, research, image understanding, document workflows, and application development.
The name “DeepSeek” can describe several related things: the company, its official chat and mobile apps, the developer platform and API, or model families such as V4, R1, V3, Coder, Math, VL, and OCR. These are not interchangeable products.
Available features, model names, privacy terms, costs, and infrastructure requirements depend on the access path you choose.
Everyday users can use the official chat or app.
Developers can connect applications through the API.
Technical teams can evaluate eligible open-weight releases using DeepSeek’s verified repositories and compatible local or cloud infrastructure.
Always check the model card and license for the exact release; hosted API availability does not automatically mean that the same model is downloadable.
What can DeepSeek be used for?
- Writing and learning: drafting, rewriting, translation, summaries, explanations, and study material.
- Reasoning and coding: code generation, debugging, testing, technical planning, and structured problem solving.
- Images and documents: screenshot, chart, and image understanding through supported vision models and properly supplied context.
- Applications and automation: chatbots, structured output, tool-using workflows, RAG systems, agents, and internal assistants.
- Open-weight evaluation: local or private testing where the selected release, license, hardware, and operational controls permit it.
Important limitation: DeepSeek can produce incorrect, incomplete, outdated, biased, or fabricated information. Verify consequential outputs against reliable sources and require qualified human review for legal, medical, financial, security, employment, education, and other high-impact decisions.

The API is separate from free official hosted chat. Prices below are in US dollars per one million tokens. Peak hours are 01:00–04:00 and 06:00–10:00 UTC, Monday through Friday. Every other hour is off-peak, and off-peak rates are half the peak rates.
| Model | Off-peak: cache hit / cache miss / output | Peak: cache hit / cache miss / output |
|---|---|---|
deepseek-v4-flash | $0.007 / $0.22 / $0.66 | $0.014 / $0.44 / $1.32 |
deepseek-v4-flash-vision-exp | $0.007 / $0.22 / $0.66 | $0.014 / $0.44 / $1.32 |
deepseek-v4-pro | $0.022 / $0.66 / $1.98 | $0.044 / $1.32 / $3.96 |
Vision input: Images sent to deepseek-v4-flash-vision-exp are converted into tokens based on their dimensions and billed as input tokens. DeepSeek documents supported image input through an HTTP(S) URL, a Base64 data URL, or a file_id created through its image-focused Files API. This does not make the Files API a general PDF or DOCX upload service. Read the Vision Exp guide before implementation.
Prices, limits, and availability can change. Verify the official pricing table before topping up a balance or approving a production budget. See the API pricing guide, API guide, and dated API updates tracker for details.

Privacy, Security, and Safer Use
Protect sensitive information
Do not paste passwords, API keys, authentication tokens, signing keys, confidential contracts, customer records, health data, financial records, or sensitive personal information into an unapproved AI service.
Verify consequential answers
Check claims against primary sources, test generated code before deployment, and require qualified review for legal, medical, financial, security, compliance, employment, or customer-facing decisions.
Control production access
Store API keys server-side, isolate users and tenants, restrict agent tools, monitor spending, defend against prompt injection, log safely, and require approval for consequential actions.
Self-hosting is not automatically private
Local or private infrastructure can provide more control, but privacy still depends on the complete system: hosting, networking, telemetry, plugins, logs, backups, administrators, access controls, and patching.
Regional rules and workplace policies differ. Check authoritative local guidance and your organization’s requirements. Start with the Privacy & Security Center and DeepSeek safety guide.
DeepSeek for Developers and Business Teams
A useful production decision asks whether a defined workflow can create measurable value with acceptable quality, cost, privacy, security, and operational risk.
- Applications: define acceptable errors, evaluate representative tasks, estimate token costs, and add monitoring before production traffic.
- RAG and internal knowledge: enforce document permissions, tenant isolation, citations, retention rules, and escalation when evidence is missing.
- Agents and automation: use minimum permissions, tool allowlists, approval gates, rate limits, spending controls, audit logs, and rollback paths.
Explore DeepSeek Business Solutions, Enterprise AI, and the RAG Knowledge Base guide.

How Chat-Deep.ai Verifies This Guide
Chat-Deep.ai separates official facts from independent analysis so readers can identify the source and scope of each claim.
- Official product facts are checked against DeepSeek’s website, platform, API documentation, pricing, status, privacy policy, changelog, and verified model repositories.
- Time-sensitive claims include a visible verification date. Prices, model IDs, limits, and availability should be checked again before consequential decisions.
- Independent tests retain their original dates, methodology, measured scope, evidence, and limitations.
- Chat-Deep.ai product statements describe this site only; its browser chat is not the official DeepSeek chat, app, platform, or support service.
- The visible verification date changes only after the affected facts and links have been rechecked.
Read the Editorial Policy, learn more About Chat-Deep.ai, and review the independent reliability report.
DeepSeek AI FAQ
Is Chat-Deep.ai the official DeepSeek website?
